The topic of cannabis oil is currently on everyone’s lips around the world. From housewife to a lawyer to doctors, everyone talks about it. And not without reason, because … It promises to heal! And healing, sometimes severe chronic diseases. But what exactly is CBD oil, what can it do and what does it really help against? Can anyone take it or are there side effects? In the following article, we will try to shed some light on this exciting topic!
CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol.
Hemp (cannabis) produces various cannabinoids, the most well-known being THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). CBD Cannabidiol is known to be psychoactive and is therefore covered by the Narcotics law.āØāØCBD (cannabidiol) is another cannabinoid, most previously unknown. CBD is not psychoactive (so it does not make you feel dizzy), but has many other positive qualities.āØāØThere are cannabis species that have a very high CBD and a low THC content. Exactly these plants are used for the extraction of CBD oil. The THC content is so low that no psychoactive effects can be detected. Therefore, it does not fall under the narcotics law.āØāØSo it’s completely legal!
CBD oil – the most important ingredients
In addition to cannabidiol, the CBD oil contains many other important ingredients. Many of them can not be produced by the human body. The most important ingredients include, for example, the gamma-linolenic acid, it is extremely rare and is characterized by its anti-inflammatory effect. There are also other essential polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vitamins, minerals, fiber, trace elements, and amniotic acids are also abundant in the CBD oil.
CBD as a remedy
Recently, CBD has been prescribed by doctors as a medicine. Especially in the fields of psychology and neurology cannabis oil is used to treat such diseases. For this reason, it is popularly referred to as medical cannabis.āØāØDue to the fact that the medicinal effect of cannabis oil has not yet been sufficiently researched, there are not many long-term studies. Therefore, the current state of knowledge mainly results from reports of individual physicians and patients.āØāØCBD oil has been shown to alleviate or even completely cure the following ailments and conditions:

The following studies prove the curative effect of cannabidiol (CBD):
In 2015, researchers at the Davis Geffen School of Medicine in LA attempted to detect the healing effects of CBD by treating children with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) and children with infantile spasms (IS) with CBD-enriched cannabis preparations.
The parents of the treated children were interviewed after the treatment for the outcome. In fact, 85% of parents reported a significant reduction in seizures, and 14% even reported a complete recovery of their children. In addition, a significant improvement in sleep was reported by 53% of parents.
Another study was conducted in 2016 at the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in New York. More than 200 patients suffering from severe epilepsy participated in this study. Two different doses of CBD were compared with placebo.
The result: seizures decreased by 41.9% in patients given a daily dose of 20mg / kg CBD. Patients receiving a dose of 10mg / kg CBD experienced an improvement of 37.2%. After all, the placebo treatment reduced the seizure frequency by 17.2%.
Comparable results were obtained in 2017, which treated children with the Dravet syndrome (severe infantile myoclonic epilepsy) with CBD. The result of this study showed a significant reduction in seizure frequency.
Ingestion and dosage of CBD oil
CBD oils are mainly offered with a CBD of 5%, 10% and sometimes 20%.
A corresponding product should be chosen according to the type of complaint. For minor ailments, such as sleep disturbances, we recommend a cannabis oil with 5% CBD content. Of these, 3-4 drops should be taken before
going to bed. The oil should be given under the tongue with a dropper pipette.
It should stay there for a minute. Therefore, the active ingredients can be absorbed by the mucous membranes in the mouth. Then simply swallow it down. If after repeated administration of the drops no noticeable improvement of the symptoms, the intake can be increased to 4-5 drops.
For severe conditions, such as a chronic migraine, we recommend the following dosage: A cannabis oil with a 10% CBD content should be taken twice a day. It is recommended to start with three drops in the morning and three drops in the evening and observe the effect over several days. This dose can then be gradually increased to up to five drops in the morning and five in the evening. Although overdose is hardly possible, the dose should not be increased until immeasurably. This could even have a counterproductive effect on the effect.
Here is a little info on fertility: From a 10 ml bottle with a pipette, you get between 240 and 250 drops of cannabis oil. With 3-4 drops daily, that’s enough for about two months.
Interactions and side effects of CBD oil
According to the current state of knowledge, only very slight side effects of cannabidiol (CBD) are known. These include fatigue, appetite changes, and at worst, diarrhea. In 2017, the ECDD (Expert Committee on Drug Dependence) came to this conclusion. There are also no reports from doctors or patients that interactions with other drugs have occurred. However, the metabolism of other drugs can be influenced positively or negatively. For that reason, a doctor should be consulted before taking CBD oil, if other medicines are also taken!
Substantial impairment of human bodily functions does not occur through CBD. Nevertheless, we advise pregnant women and minors from ingestion in general!
Buy CBD oil online – what to look for:
At the moment there are still a few public outlets for CBD products. Accordingly, there is a lack of expert advice. Since cannabis oil can currently be obtained mainly via the Internet, we would like to discuss shortly what should be considered before the purchase.
Because CBD oil is not always equal to CBD oil! With such a hype surrounding this product, there are of course black sheep on the market. For the customer, it is not clear how much of the active ingredient is actually contained in the product. It is all the more important to find a trusted dealer!
Also, the product information can help in the search for the right quality. The following must be taken into account: The absolute amount of CBD of a product results from the percentage of CBD and the total content. Accordingly, a 10ml vial containing 10% CBD should contain about 1000mg of CBD. It is also important that the maximum legal limit of THC is not exceeded. This information should be included in the product description.
Furthermore, the oils should be made from organic farming. Make sure that the CO2 extraction is explicitly marked. This gentle process ensures that all ingredients in the plant spectrum of the hemp plant are preserved.
Last but not least, the price also offers a quality reference. CBD oil 10ml, 5% usually costs between 35, – ā¬ and 45, – ā¬. A 10ml vial with 10% CBD oil, costs between 65, – ā¬ and 80, – ā¬.
At first, you should be skeptical about products that are offered at much lower prices.
